My thoughts tell me tales
ATM Gallery, New York
May 2021
Taking inspiration from a song by the Tuareg group Tinariwen, My thoughts tell me tales depicts pockets of cherished memories which at first glance may appear ordinary or without substance, yet in truth are personal, each reflecting a unique tale. Through these works, the artist highlights the luxury of life’s simple pleasures, such as a mother peeling a freshly picked orange for her son, an intimate moment he holds close. These paintings reaffirm the persistence and timelessness of memories, encouraging each of us to preserve our own.
